Best and Worst Things to Buy in March

Here are the best and worst things to buy in March

There are great sales on chocolate left from Valentine's Day. March is Frozen Food month, so look for great deals on frozen vegetables, March 7 is National Cereal day, so search for savings on cereal. Now is the time that retailers put winter apparel on sale, so look for savings on winter jackets, sweaters and caps. Now is also the time to look for deals on air conditioners and bbq grills, because no one is shopping for these items now, so retailers will have great deals to drum up business. There are also luggage bargains for you savvy shoppers out there. Foods to buy in March include nutritious greens such as broccoli, cabbage, spinach, asparagus, and lettuce while winter's bounty of root vegetables such as parsnips, radishes, leeks, and shallots is still available. Artichokes, avocados, peas, lemons, limes, grapefruit, tangerines, and oranges are also plentiful throughout the month. Find everything you need to make a roasted vegetable dish or a colorful salad.

Remove Baked on Grease from Pans #Cleaning #Tip

How to remove baked on grease from pans - a great cleaning tip!

Here is the recipe:
You will want to mix up 1/2 cup Baking Soda, 1/4 cup Dish Soap and 1/4 cup Hydrogen Peroxide in a small bowl. Apply the paste to the pan or cookie sheet completely covering the baked on grease. Let the paste sit on the pan for a while. I applied the paste and then let it sit while I went to a swim meet so it sat for about 3 hours.

When you come back to it, just wipe away with a magic eraser and voila - beautiful shiny pan!

Things to Do at the Beginning of the Month #newmonth #newbeginning

Things to Do at the Beginning of the Month

Look at your calendar to see if there are any upcoming appointments / birthdays and make reminder notes. Think ahead to see if there are any bills upcoming that you need to save money for.

That leads me to - look at your budget for the month and plan what you want to spend and save. Look for any upcoming special expenses - medical or auto or school - and start preparing now.

What are your personal and professional goals for this month? What do you want to accomplish? Break your goals down into weekly and daily baby steps for easier steps to success. Talk with a friend to discuss strategies for success because two heads are better than one.

What is a possible goal? How about to deep clean a part of your home in the next few days, e.g. the living room rug or clean the pantry shelves. Think about how good you will feel. While you are deep cleaning that part, also take about 30 minutes to pick just a few items to donate to Goodwill. The decluttering and donating will benefit you as well.

Pick out a book or two. If you can read a book a month you will enjoy life so much more. Plus you will have another fun topic to talk about with friends.

Clean out your coffee pot, and your coffee will taste better. Run a mixture of 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water through a cycle, and then finish with a mixture of just water.

What do you like to do - to start every month?
