3 Tips for Improving Your Sales Methods

Yes I can and here is how:
1) try something other than cold calling. Yes cold calling can work but there are other options, for instance starting a blog, making an instructional youtube video, and hosting a talk.
2) edit down your presentation, so that you are focusing on what your client wants. What is most important to your client - is is budget basics, or quick delivery, or made in America? Make it your business to know so that you don't waste anyone's time.
3) maintain a thorough follow up procedure. There is much lost business because a sales person didn't follow up. Make up your guidelines, e.g. call 2 days after the proposal / quote, with a phone call that is short and sweet. Can I get your business, if not, why not? If yes that is great, let's roll!

How Can I Tell if My Site is Improving in Search Engine Results?

There are metrics, or ways to measure your ranking, and they are offered for free by Google. You can track hits, demographic info, sales goals, and even mobile performance. You can search "google analytics" for info. Remember, don't hire aggressive marketers to promote your rankings. It can backfire and your site can be blacklisted or sandboxed.

3 Ways Sports Teams Score with Promos

Here's 3 ways sports teams score big with promotions:
1) Make your audience part of your marketing team! Encourage your clients to take their promos with them, and then snap a photo of themselves with the promo in an exciting location. Run contests for the best, strangest, farthest, etc. location or for significant locations or events. All photos posted on social media, and announce the contest winner on social media, with the prize in hand!
2) Get megaphones that are designed to also be used as popcorn holders during the game or event. Dual duty helps cut promotional costs. Saves green, goes green!
3) Helping to fuel that fervor is the fan gear that brings color and solidarity to sports-loving crowds. Prime examples are rally towels, megaphones, pennants, big foam novelties, t-shirts, jackets, and hats.

Ways to Generate Leads with Inbound Marketing

We who sell want leads now. Remember cold calling is an interuptive waste of time.

Inbound marketing is actually earning people's interest, instead of buying it, or annoying them to try to get it.

One way to get leads is to create a blog. Make your blog lively, interesting, full of value, encourage comments, and at the end of the post, make a call to action - do you want the reader to contact you for more info on marketing, visit your youtube channel, sign up for your newsletter, or email you for a personal meeting?

Create interest using social media, and make an entry daily. Post your current project on Pinterest, use linked in to connect with a client, and tweet about your chamber's activities.

Last but not least, start using video. Video is the new facebook. Make a video a week, and promote it on the other social media sites. Encourage new and prospective clients to watch videos to learn how to get a discount on a project. Create quick videos with info about your industry, sharing bite size nuggets of info so that no one is bored or overwhelmed. Have fun watching your online world expand!
